Laptop Bag, Cooler, Backpack, Personal Item
The Amazon title, “MATEIN Work Backpack for Women, Insulated Cooler Backpacks with Lunch Box, 15.6 Inch Laptop Backpack with USB Port Reusable Water Resistant Tote Food Bag for College Beach Camping Picnics Womens Gifts” pretty much covers it! I got this backpack for my trip to Scotland. It was ideal as my personal bag on the plane and excellent as a cooler while we were traveling around in Scotland. We weren’t out backpacking in the rain, so I don’t know how dry it would stay long term in a downpour. However, it did well going from a car into a building in the Scottish rain!

I’ve got wipes in the tissue holder, and either a water bottle or umbrella in the pocket on the other side. The little secret zipper compartment on the shoulder strap is perfect for an air tag.
So far I’ve used this fabulous backpack twice as a personal bag while flying. That isn’t all that it gets used for though. It is my go-to computer bag and overnight bag. I’m impressed with how it is holding up with all of the use that it gets.
Vapur Collapsible Water Bottle
The Vapur collapsible water bottle is a “Where has this been all my life?!” item.
They are soft so they can fit anywhere, or can hang from the carabiner. Plus, when they are empty they roll up so they store in a small space until you are ready to refill. We even used them as perfect ice packs for the cooler in my backpack.
In the summer I fill them about 1/2 way with strong mint tea and put it in the freezer. Then I fill it with water when I’m riding horses. The bottle clips easily onto my saddle and I have refreshing iced tea.
If you have an active, on the go life you need the Vapur collapsible bottle. I happen to need 5 of them!

Air Tracker Tags
Air tracker tags seemed like a good idea with leaving bags in the rental car and AirBnbs. I got a 4 pack so they went into my carryon, backpack, travel vest, and iPad case.
These air tags were a life saver when we couldn’t find the car! They were easy to set up with Apple Find My app. I like that these have a nice silicone case to help protect it and it is waterproof.

Waterproof Phone Pouch
I got the 2 pack of this Waterproof Phone Pouch, Double Space Waterproof Phone Case with Lanyard. It is not just a cellphone dry bag for a beach vacation, it works for anytime you want to keep your phone dry. It worked great on boat trips and in the pouring rain!
The black is perfect for bathing horses and the mint green coordinated nicely the clothes that I took to Scotland. The 2 pack also allows me to share with a friend! It fit my iPhone 16 Pro with room to spare. The best part is that you can’t tell which pictures were taken in the waterproof bag!
This waterproof phone pouch also has a smaller pouch for keys or anything else you might need to keep dry. This will be great for trips to the beach!

Scotland Proof Travel Umbrella
TUMELLA Strongest Windproof Travel Umbrella truly is a Scotland proof travel umbrella! Since my last compact umbrella died in Portland, Oregon I carefully looked at all of the travel umbrellas on Amazon. Then I then read all of the reviews. The Tumella travel umbrella was a clear winner.
It worked well in the blowing wind and downpour. I really appreciated the wrist loop and grippy handle when wind gust tried to steal my umbrella. It helped knowing from the reviews that it takes a little muscle to click it down. For me the Tumella travel umbrella is perfect in every way!

Phone Lanyard
Of all these awesome travel recommendations, I use the phone lanyard the most. As you can see in the Travel Vest pictures, I got it for travel in Scotland. However, since I got it, it goes on my phone when I get up in the morning and comes off when I go to bed. It is a lifesaver! Most of the time I wear it crossbody with my phone tucked in a pocket. Otherwise my iPhone gets heavy on my neck, especially if I also have my keys or wallet also hanging on the clip. After a lot of research to find the most comfortable and sturdy phone lanyard, I ended up getting: TORRAS Phone Lanyard Crossbody with 2 Phone Tabs, Adjustable Anti Theft Strap for All Cellphone, Premium Metal Buckles, Skin-Friendly, Universal Cellphone Neck lanyard for Travel Essentials. I like it so much I now have 4 Torras phone lanyards! The black is for when I’m out with the horses, but the others are to coordinate with what I’m wearing. Torras has new colors available, so I will probably end up with more than 4 of these awesome phone lanyards!
33,000ft Women’s Lightweight Vest
This 33,000ft Women’s Lightweight Vest is my new BFF! I have 3 of these windproof and water resistant vests: orange for walking, navy for working with horses, and teal for traveling.

There are 3 pockets in the front, 2 large inner pockets, and a back pocket. I put a velcro fastening top on the left inside pocket of the teal vest for my iPad. I load the vest with all of my electronics before going through airport security. Since I turn this vest into a wearable purse, an air tag is in a pocket.

Kerrits & Ariat Sun/Baselayer Shirts & Boots
I’ve always maintained that equestrian clothing is the best. We know how to be comfortable in clothes that wear and perform well. They are perfect for all of my horsing activities, travel and everyday work and play!
The Ariat Lowell baselayer is moisture-wicking and sun-protecting, while being extremely comfortable and easy care.
The Kerrits Ice Fil shirts are lightweight and breathable, while they provide UPF+30 coverage and sun protection, working to keep your skin’s surface temp cooler with quick drying performance. I travel with short and long sleeve Ice Fil shirts.
Kerrits Woodstock Waterproof Barn Boot have great traction and are comfortable all day long, however long the day! These are what I wear for flying since I might have to remove them going through security.
I’ll stack the Ariat Terrain waterproof riding boot up against any hiking boot anytime, anywhere!
I have several Kerrits waterproof jackets. The water beads on the jacket so you can shake it off to quickly dry. I’ll say it again, equestrian clothing is the best!

Sketchers Go Walk Pants

I live in the Sketchers Go Walk pants and Sketchers Go Walk crop pants. They are comfortable, easy-care, fast drying, and have a convenient side pocket. These are Go-Anywhere pants that are perfect for every activity, whether it’s crawling after a toddler, walking a dog in the pouring rain, working with horses, rolling up the legs to play in the waves, or dressing up to go out. They pack up really small and don’t wrinkle for traveling, so they always look nice. As they are awesome active wear material, they are comfortable in the summer, but stretchy enough to wear a base layer under them to keep warm in the winter.
My test for taking these to Scotland happened when I was walking a dog in the pouring rain. We were both soaked! In the time it took to towel dry the dog, my Sketchers Go Walk pants were completely dry.
